You are invited to begin your Lenten journey 2016 with the Liturgy of the Word and the Imposition of Ashes on Wednesday, February 10, 6:30 P.M. at St. Francis Retreat House. We will begin with the Ash Wednesday Liturgy in our main Chapel. Following the prayer we will move to our Conference Rooms for the showing of the classic religious film “Babette’s Feast.” This movie echoes the psalmist’s timeless invitation: “Taste and see that the Lord is good,” and it will help us to set our hearts on our need to pray, give service, and build community during the 40 days of Lent. Not long ago, Pope Francis revealed that “Babette’s Feast” counts among his three all-time favorite films. Welcome to the season of Lent and to St. Francis Retreat House.
